What is a Kleinsaucer?

Jeff Klein (a.k.a.Kleinsaucer) touched our lives  in so many ways. For those who don’t know, Kleinsaucer  was Jeff’s nickname given by his high school friends (There is an actual fullback on the Minnesota Vikings named Kleinsasser. But given that Jeff loved sauces, we changed “sasser” to “saucer”). His zest for life rubbed off on everyone he met. He had passion for sports and competition. A selfless, loving, and compassionate person, Jeff provided lifelong memories for those around him. This blog is dedicated to our collective memories of the countless good times that defined who he was.

Please submit stories and corresponding pictures about a memorable moment with Jeff. In order to get your story posted on this blog, please send a post with a corresponding picture to kleinsaucer@gmail.com. When submitting a story, please answer the five questions:

1) What is your name?
2) How did you know Jeff? (Highschool/childhood, Middlebury, Family, Other)
3) What was your favorite thing about Jeff?
4) Please describe a memorable story you had with Jeff.
Alternatively, you can make one post that encompasses all of these questions, plus other things you may want to add. Feel free to express yourselves!

Just read your story in inside Chappaqua. Wanted you to know how moved I was. Was hard to read that you blamed yourself for going to work. As a parent I understand that. As a psychologist, I would hope to ease that burden. My friends just lost their 20 year old son in a car accident. For some reason I just wanted you to hear that your son was thought of today. I wish you peace and continued strength in your daily effort to move forward.
